I love writing — the act itself, sharing what I write, and seeing it come to life on stage. I write to tell stories, to make people laugh and cry and think. I’ve written more than 80 plays (mostly shorts, including 11 about Kentucky women), which have been on stages from coast to coast as well as Australia, Canada, Denmark, and Japan.

My writing is influenced by my feminism, a passion for social justice, experience as a child advocate, teaching, motherhood (twins at 38!), being Jewish, and a wonderful circle of family, friends, and writers in my life.
