10-Minute Plays Monologues & Shorts Full-Length Plays

I adore ten-minute plays. (Doesn't everyone?) These are all 10 pages or less. Detailed synopses are at
The Small Cast One-Act Guide. I'm also listed with Playwrights on the Web.

Comedies:

Booking (2F) — A bookstore isn't necessarily the best place to find an eligible man.

The Clock Is Ticking (2F) — Tinker Bell is now a psychiatrist, and the Fairy Godmother needs her services.

Directions to Venus (1F,2M) — An artist unhappily accepts directions from a truck driver who gets under his skin and into his wife’s sandals.

Don't Call Me Loretta! (1F,1M) — All he really wants is a grilled cheese, but she's closing for the night.

Levels of Living (2F,1M) — An elderly woman who was accidentally placed in Hell resists efforts to correct the error.

A Mustache & A Mattress (1F,1M) — She wants a mattress, he wants to sell her one, but then a mustache changes everything. This play is available from Dramatic Publishing.

Papaya Sling (1F,2M) — Would-be marrieds check out one another in a rapid-fire, to-the-point repartee.

Remembering a Bottle of of of (1F,1M) — The woman he spots in a Dublin pub looks so familiar (and she should) — if only he could figure out why.

Special Delivery (2F,2M) — One of my most produced and feted plays. A comedy about a made-to-order baby clinic.

Sweet Potato Pie(s) (1F,1M) — Breaking bread with a blind date (arranged by the two mothers who roomed together at Ole Miss) can be dicey.

Terminal L (2F, 3M) — Five people with names or missions that sound vaguely like "limbo" wind up somewhere none of them intended to be.

They Say I'm Obsessive (2F) — Vivian loves to count – but when it’s time to pay for a solo lunch, she discovers her money doesn’t add up. (A monologue from this piece appears in Young Women's Monologs from Contemporary Plays published by Meriwether.)

A Valentine Day Sale (1F,1M) — Love at first serial port.

Wrinkles (2F) — A dark little comedy about a symbiotic mother-daughter pair who have more in common than either wants to admit.

Zimy & Zog Visit Earth (2F,1M) — Aliens visit Earth in 2503 and revive a corpse who is desperate for pizza.
